I remember I "met" you through Big Mama's Spring Fashion Fiesta and have been reading ever since :)
Okay so this one is going way back...
It was Prom and my date and I were headed to your house pre-dance. As I was getting out of the car I stepped in a muddy part of the lawn. My beautiful green velvet-like shoe was covered and I was so upset.
You and your mom - the domestic goddesses that you are - swooped in to the rescue. I don't remember what you used to get the mud off but my shoes were good as new.
I should dig up that old dance photo...
I also have a million cheer memories. :)
Now, Moriah, we've never met.
Hmm.
But you went to Covenant, and I bet we have stood in the SAME places on that campus - occupied the same space, you might say :)
I bet you stood at the windows in the Great Hall and watched the hang-gliders go by. So, we shared that, kind of?
I don't know you either but I do know M.K. from the post above. And your sisters went to the same school as my children attend now and I attend the same church your parents used to attend when they lived in Montgomery. Does that count?

I remember taking history classes with you. I think Modern Britain with Follett...all 8 of us? :) You totally planned your wedding during that class. :)
Since the Covenant Great Hall memories have been taken... I know you went to PYA in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountain range the same time I did. So I'm sure we both walked that rough blacktop path back and forth from our cabins to the lodge. And we probably both went down the waterslides where giant horseflies ate you at the top and the slide seams tore at your legs all the way down. Good times!
We, together with our then boyfriends, were in small group w/ Dean Raymond in his little office at college one semester. We never talked--to each other. :) (should I say this?...) I thought of you as the gorgeous model on campus. I believe we arrived and graduated together, and you roomed with some of my best friends.
My favorite memory of you is the first time we met. There was a very large group (at least 20 couples, if not more) of us going to Prom my junior year (your sophmore). I was wearing this purple dress that I absolutely loved. At dinner, at the Timber Mine I looked over you had the exact same dress. I thought to myself this girl is going to be so rude we have the exact same dress. But, you walked right over to me and said, "Cute dress, we must have good taste". I remember thinking what a nice girl and compliment that was. We have been very good if not best friends since. I love you girl! It's been way to long since we have seen each other. We need to make it happen.
Oh definately our Senior Choir trip to California. I have tons of awesome pictures. We had so much fun & you were constantly making me laugh. Plus you did all these fun clippy things to your hair. (so inventive)!
Also I borrowed a dress from you for sr. prom. You are so nice!
Ummm...one of my very first memories is that water park in CO - I got to go with you and your family and thought I was very hot stuff. We were...what? 8, maybe 9 years old? It all starts at the cabin of course...
I remember hanging out in the big house the semester before you got married. I enjoyed being one of your-side of the housemate!
PS. This is the first comment I have made but I have really enjoyed keeping up with your family since I found your blog this spring.
Like a previous commenter, I discovered your blog at Big Mama's spring fashion fiesta, and I remember thinking, "She's cute! I want to be her friend." So I subscribed and started commenting. And when I found out you were local, that made it all the better!
Of course, you aren't local anymore. Sniff.
So where do I start with the memories? Um....one of the first is your old house on Moore Rd. I just couldn't believe that your very first house (trailer?) had blue and yellow wall paper that matched your furniture exactly. I thought that you had planned it all out that way. It was a little intimidating considering my first married place. HA!
One of my favorite memories, not yours I know, is packing up your kitchen and laughing at your mom making fun of "other packers". Also emtying your fridge to Nicky, that was pretty funny. You were the one of the only families besides the ones we were related to, that showed us hospitality while we were in GA. It meant a lot to us!
Global Trends with Haddad. How I remember that you were in that class, I have no idea, but I do.
Fun times.
Well, there was the time you and Bekah played and April fools joke on me with the fire alarm, but since I honestly don't remember that, asleep as I was, I'll come up with another....
Ah yes, you and Collyn Schmidt came to my house for tea, and some Mormons dropped in and talked with my brother for a while. You wanted to go talk with them, but stayed in with us sipping tea and chatting, instead.
(And by the end of the semester you had talked me into being a history major.)
all i have to say is . . . the *NSYNC and Britney Spears concert our freshmen year. talk about a million screaming junior high girls!!!
Sitting outside at Panera and looking at Pikes Peak!
